See the photos in question (maybe shocking):
The Azov Battalion shared a new video. The tape, filmed with a drone, shows a Russian convoy being ambushed in Mariupol. A number of Ukrainian soldiers approached the convoy, and at least three of the six vehicles were on fire. Some Russian soldiers are hiding behind a wall, but Ukrainian soldiers are bombing them with grenades. One of those grenades exploded near the Russian soldiers.
The American channel CNN confirmed the authenticity and location of the photos. This was not verified when the photos were just taken.
Azov made its mark in 2014 as the notorious neo-Nazi militia. The brigade is part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Last Resistance in the devastated port city of Mariupol.
Meanwhile, Russia has issued another ultimatum to the Ukrainian fighters located at the site of the Azovstal Shredded Steel Plant in Mariupol. “National fighters and foreign mercenaries” will be given the opportunity to lay down their arms and surrender from 12:00 (11:00 AM Belgium time). The Russian Defense Ministry said their lives would then be saved.
Moscow also calls on the government in Kyiv to use “common sense” and give the fighters “appropriate instructions to end this senseless confrontation.” It is said that Kyiv did not issue this order, the soldiers and mercenaries should surrender on their own.
