Nils Albert (37) suddenly looks different. The former cyclo-cross racer and analyst has a shaved head after a hair transplant.
Niels Albert has been suffering from hair loss for several years. It runs in the family because his grandfather and father also had little hair. Albert had been able to cover up his hair loss for a long time with wax or gel, but now he has opted for a more radical procedure.
Last Wednesday, Albert underwent a hair transplant operation at the hands of a doctor in Hasselt. Albert had to shave his head for this reason, which is not ideal in these temperatures. He is also not allowed to wear a hat or hat for the first week, because he still has to heal first.
No embarrassment
Albert does not wish to discuss the cost of this procedure, but he deliberately chose not to have it performed at a lower cost in Turkey. He says: “But I did not want to go to Turkey, because the language barrier was too big for me.” HLN.
Albert also fully supports his choice to have the procedure. “No one should interfere with that. Anyone can have an opinion about it. But in the end it’s my choice, my body. I don’t understand the secret surrounding aesthetic interventions.”
You will have to wait a few more weeks for the final result of the hair transplant until Albert’s hair grows back. But the former cyclo-cross racer clearly has no shame.
