Not 90, but 60 minutes this time. The boys from 90 Minutes were present at the VRT MAX live broadcast event in Mechelen. There the audience were also asked tough questions, one of which was about Hein Vanhaezebrouck.
Club Brugge's poor results under Ronnie Deila and Hein Vanhisbrouck's current situation at Gent have given rise to strange rumours.
For example, one 90 Minutes listener wondered whether Vanhaysbrouck would be the ideal successor to Deila at the club.
“As a story, wouldn’t we all say yes?” asks Philip Goss, even though he realizes it wouldn’t make a lot of sense. “There are Club Brugge fans who are asking for this, something like that can change quickly.”
Tuur Dierckx has his reservations about this. “It's not possible at all. He's a good coach and always achieves something, but I think a lot has happened in the past. It seems very strange to me that the club's fans would ask for that.”
“Everyone wants to see it,” Gus insists. “It will be a big draw for the competition.”
“I think he will be a very good sporting director. There are not people who know a lot about football, but working as a coach under Hayne is a difficult role.”
“Subtly charming internet specialist. Avid writer. Friendly alcohol guru. Music ninja. Devoted social media fanatic.”
