In the first round of the Australian Open, Greet Minnen (WTA-84) looks in the eyes of Romanian Jacqueline Christian (WTA-73). “I’ve never met her before. At least she’s been playing really well lately. I’m expecting a strong match, but I’m happy to be here.”
“I love these Grand Slams, and I’m impatient to get off the mainstays,” Minin said. “I feel like the balls are ‘flying’ a little more than usual this year and they’re wearing higher.”
