Apple introduces the new Mac desktop studio

Apple has released the new Mac Studio for the desktop computer. It’s a somewhat business-like version of the current Mac Mini, but has better performance.

In total, the Mac Studio configuration can consist of 20 CPU cores and 64 GPU cores. A desktop computer offers up to 128 GB of RAM. The maximum SSD capacity is 8TB. Mac Studio has a maximum capacity of 800 Gbps.

The larger desktop features four Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, an SDCX card reader port, an HDMI port, and a headphone out. Per the specifications, this allows for control of a total of four Apple 6K ProDisplay XDR displays simultaneously and one 4K display via the HDMI port.

Connectivity consists of Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 10Gb Ethernet port. The included operating system is macOS Monterey.

The new Mac Studio is available from March 18 and starts at €2,329. Depending on the configuration, the price rises to 9,229 euros.
