Publisher Prime Matter and developer Nine Dots reported this in the video above. Outward: Definitive Edition includes the base game and two DLC packs – The Three Brothers and The Soroboreans – as well as more new content, several quality of life updates, and balance tweaks.
Not many details have been provided about the new content, but at least we can expect new battles in dungeons, new “defeat scenarios” and new diseases. Quality of life changes include the ability to access your lair while in a friend’s game world, better magic, totem workshops in all areas, and an accessible crafting system.
De Wacht has had Outward on the radar for a while because it’s one of the few RPGs that you can play entirely on a split screen. The arrival of the final edition seems to be the perfect moment to delve into it (and undoubtedly write a review about it in Ook Gespeld in de magazine!).
Outward is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Definitive Edition is also coming to Xbox Series S, X, and PlayStation 5. A specific release date will follow at a later date.
