His family announced on Facebook, that Klaus Schulz, the leader of krautrock, electronic music from Germany, has passed away at the age of 74. The exact cause of death was not revealed.
“It is with great sadness that we inform you that yesterday, April 26, 2022, at the age of 74, after a long struggle with illness, Klaus passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He left not only a great musical legacy, but also a wife, two sons and four grandchildren.”
A multi-instrumentalist, but above all a talented synthesizer, Schulze was a founding member of electronic rock band Ash Ra Temple and played with Tangerine Dream for a while, after which he launched his solo career. She has produced more than forty albums.
Business cards include “Irrlicht” (1972), “Moondawn” (1976), “Dune” (1979), “Dreams” (1986), “Mediterranean Pads” (1990) and the double album “In Blue” (1995).
