After a well-deserved rest day, the Giro peloton is back on track riding the 196km between Pescara and Jesse. Especially the race strikers will have a good rest later, because the tenth stage is for them.
Just like the Giro’s opening stage, the course appears to be tailored to Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Fenix) and Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert). Will we get another duel between the two contracts?
After a pool-level tour along the Adriatic coast, Peloton today explores the Marche region. There, the riders are waiting for some tough spots, like Recanati and Filottrano. Eight kilometers from the finish, the climb to Monzano awaits, the starting platform for the race’s strikers, or will the runner survive to the end?
