FIFA has announced in a televised broadcast from New York which cities will host the 2026 World Cup. For the first time, World War I will be fought in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Eleven host cities were assigned to the United States. They are in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles / Sophie Stadium, Miami, New York / New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle. Football will be played in Canada, Toronto and Vancouver. Mexico hosts the World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey. This is the first time the World Cup will be held in three countries.
