Like many other cities in Ukraine, Botga is still in ruins. But there is also something like normalcy resumes. Supermarkets that were not bombed are reopening and operating overtime. Even hotels are opening their doors again, even if there are no tourists.

On the rescued playground amid the destroyed buildings, we see children swinging on top of it. On the football field, two friends dribble between mine pits on artificial turf. After a goal they celebrate in front of a collapsed amphitheater. Their names are Daniel (11) and Guerre (10) and they dream of working at Paris Saint-Germain. Not even war can destroy this dream.
