The new season for the Association of Lelystad Amateur Artists (LAK) will begin on Wednesday 7th September.
LAK has a spacious studio on De Veste 16-77, which members can use freely. The studio includes easels, fine sketch and watercolor paper, tools for framing work, a printing press and space to work with several artists at once.
Inspires
By working together in the same space and discussing each other’s work, LAK members inspire each other and develop their drawing and coloring skills.
The studio also provides space for an exhibition with your own work. LAK publishes weekly about its activities at http://atelierdeveste.blogspot.nl.
Annual Program
On Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings there is an annual program in which participants work on a specific topic or technology. On Fridays, the water group works on watercolors with a mutually agreed-upon theme, and on Saturday mornings, the graphic group is busy etching on tetras, cutting, and linoleum printing.
Other times, the studio is open for free. There is still room for a few new members. If you like to draw, watercolor, sketch a model, or work with drawings with others, you can stop. Prospective members can participate for free for the first month, before they finally decide to become a member.
The studio is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am-4pm and 8pm-10:30pm, Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
