80-year-old Harrison Ford took on the role of the famous adventurer again in the fifth Indiana Jones movie, but he really hung an Indy hat on Willow. At Disney’s D23 show, the Hollywood veteran joked in front of a room full of ecstatic fans on Saturday, “That’s it. I don’t love you anymore.”
Ford became emotional when he addressed visitors to a fan fair in Anaheim, California. “The Indiana Jones movies are all about mystery and fantasy, but they also have a heart,” said the actor, who had to pick himself up next. “We’re telling a very human story, but it’s also a movie that will take you out of your seat,” he continued to thunderous applause.
The actor played Dr. Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones Jr. It debuted in Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981. In the following years, it was followed by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released in 2008. The fifth movie, which has not yet been titled, will be released at the end of June 2023.
Ford created high hopes for the apotheosis of Indy. “I can proudly say that this project has turned out wonderful,” he said of his latest project at Indiana Jones. He then pointed to his co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge and said, “And that’s one of the reasons.” Then the British said she had “the time of her life” on the set of the upcoming movie, but that she sometimes had trouble keeping up with Ford. “This guy really pissed me off,” the actress said with a laugh.
