Princess Elizabeth wears (almost) Queen Elizabeth’s earrings | Queen Elizabeth II passed away

PropertyPrincess Elizabeth (20 years) paid tribute Queen Elizabeth At the British Embassy in Brussels. She wrote in a mourning log that the deceased queen was “an inspiration to young and old”. But it was especially so with her earrings that paid homage to the Queen.

Dressed in a demure black dress with high heels, Princess Elizabeth visited the British Embassy on Monday. On her ears were round white pearls topped with a diamond. Notable fans noted that these were of the same style as Queen Elizabeth’s favorite husband.

The British Queen was dressed almost daily. She had received it in 1947 from her beloved grandmother, Queen Mary, as a wedding gift to Prince Philip. In turn, Princess Elizabeth borrowed her earrings from her mother, Queen Mathilde, according to the “Garderobe Royale” website.

deep effect

Elizabeth was at the embassy to sign the condolence book for the deceased queen. Literally, translated from English, she wrote: “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has been a role model and an inspiration to many of us, young and old. I joined millions of people around the world in mourning an extraordinary personality, whose example has had a profound impact on younger generations. May her soul rest in peace.”

It was surprising how the 20-year-old heiress to the throne continued her script. She stated that “on behalf of King Philip and Queen Mathilde” I expressed my “deepest condolences to the royal family and the people of the United Kingdom, the two kingdoms.” (States which it formally owned, ed.) and the Commonwealth.” This means that Elizabeth openly represented her parents, the ruling royal couple.

Philip and Mathilde are currently in Liechtenstein for the annual informal meeting of German-speaking heads of state. The Palace has confirmed to our editors that they will attend Elizabeth’s state funeral in London next Monday.

individual activity

This is the first time Elizabeth has been introduced as an actress of the King and Queen. Anyway, this is her third solo activity ever. At the end of June, beginning of July, it set off on its own twice for the first time, without King Philip and/or Queen Mathilde. At first she opened a research vessel in Ghent, then she opened a 3D printing laboratory at KU Leuven.

Now Elizabeth is allowed to sign the Queen’s condolence book. The Belgian Crown Prince is also associated with the United Kingdom. While she is now enjoying her final weeks of vacation, she will be back in England in early October. There she will begin her second year (of three years) in Politics and History at Lincoln College, Oxford.

Finally, there are links between the Belgian and British royals. Leopold I – the first king of Belgium and the ancestor of Elizabeth – was the uncle of the legendary British Queen Victoria in the 19th century.
