Looking back: What did Maxima do and wear in America?

Last week, from September 6 to 9, Queen Máxima visited the United States on economic relations. Queen Elizabeth died at the age of 96 during her visit. As a result, news of Maxima’s solo trip has been somewhat frosty. King Willem-Alexander was originally to accompany, but was forced to cancel due to pneumonia. We look back on the program and fashion.

Queen Máxima begins her tour on Tuesday with a visit to San Francisco City Hall. There the Mayor of London raises the Dutch flag together with Breit. The day continues in the Castro neighborhood. There are many people living here who ensure equal rights for LGBTI people. The Queen makes more time for them and sends greetings to the company from King Willem-Alexander.

In the afternoon, Máxima will sign a document to tackle climate change. After this, he expressed a desire for greater cooperation between the Netherlands and California.

Queen Máxima again opted for a country outfit on the second day of her visit. We’ve seen the creation twice before when she paired it with a big hat. The first time was during a regional visit to Salland. Almost a year later, during the Four Freedom Awards in Middleburg, the dress reappeared.
