Star chef, personal assistant, and nightclub. The new cruises of the Ritz-Carlton hotel chain capture the imagination. “Our customers should be able to experience the life of a billionaire,” the hotel chain says. But it comes at a hefty price: 5,759 euros per week.

Evrima – which means “discovery” in Greek – sails from Barcelona to Nice for the first time today. The cruise ship was designed to mimic the life of a billionaire’s luxury yacht. In total there is room for 298 passengers.

The luxury ship features a restaurant with star chefs and personal assistants, four swimming pools, champagne bar, gym, cigar room, beauty salon and nightclub. Those who need some exercise can rent a paddleboard, kayak, surfboard, or even a sailboat.

In addition to the standard cabins, there is a range of “loft-style” two-story suites and apartments with private living and dining areas, two bathrooms, and a Jacuzzi.

Service excellence is something The Ritz-Carlton is committed to going the extra mile for its passengers. The assistants are required to ensure a “flawless journey from start to finish” for the guests. This reminds us of the movie “The Triangle of Grief” by Robin Ostlund. Only this is not a fantasy, but a fact.

A Ritz-Carlton luxury yacht vacation costs a penny: 5,759 euros a week to be exact. This is the standard cabin price. The hotel chain does not want to disclose the cost of the private suite. Despite high inflation and purchasing power issues, The Ritz-Carlton claims to be awash in demand. Almost all cabins will be on sale this fall and winter.
