WhatsApp now allows you to chat with yourself

WhatsApp has started rolling out a note feature in its messaging app. So you can send a message to yourself. Whatsapp new feature according to WaBetaInfo Available immediately on Android and iOS. On iPhones, this requires version 22.23.74 of the app, while Android users must have at least version 2.22.23.77.

Sending yourself a WhatsApp message can be useful for writing a quick note. In addition, this feature allows you to easily share photos, videos, and other files between your phone and PC. You can also chat with yourself via the desktop and web app and the messages you send will appear in your chat on all linked devices.

To chat with yourself, you no longer have to create a group chat and remove all members from it. WhatsApp hides the new Notes chat from your contact list in the chat service – at the top of that list you’ll find the option to “Message yourself”. Once you click on this chat, you will see a full chat, where messages can only be accessed by yourself. According to Meta, the security of these messages is the same as other conversations, and therefore they are end-to-end encrypted.

Availability on Android and iOS

According to WaBetaInfo, the notes feature in WhatsApp is widely available. If you don’t see the functionality on your device at the moment, be sure to check if the update is available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

If you’re running the latest version of WhatsApp but don’t see the functionality yet, you’ll have to be patient for a bit longer. Some features are gradually being rolled out over time to catch issues that weren’t detected in beta. So it may take a few weeks before you see the functionality on your device.

Until then, you can look forward to the arrival accompanying status. This should allow you to use a single WhatsApp phone number on multiple phones. This feature is currently being tested in beta, and its final rollout is expected in a few weeks to months.
