45,000 North Carolina residents are without power after shelling at power stations

Meanwhile, about 33,000 customers are still without power. This is the latest update from Duke Energy, which is responsible for the electric grid in Moore County, North Carolina. All work must be completed by Thursday. 45,000 customers will have power restored by then. With this, the energy company had already helped 12,000 people out of their misery as of Monday afternoon.

According to the Collector, the power cut was the result of vandalism. Around 7 pm, a power plant was set on fire, resulting in a breakdown. After 45 minutes, the second power station came into view. This increased the fracture.

Schools in the area were closed due to the power outage. A 9pm to 5am night curfew was also imposed to protect residents and businesses.

So far, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting incident. Meanwhile, the assistance of the FBI was enlisted in the investigation of the facts.
