Santa sees that a lot of players haven’t sent wish letters yet. To give you some inspiration Treat the beautiful Gamerverse boys and girls with games worth playing this holiday season.
kill floor 2 (freak)
Killing Floor 2 may have been released 6 years ago, but the game still has an average of about 3,000 players making the servers insecure at the same time. The game can count on several new maps and cosmetics with the regularity of the hour, stepping up to a matching dress for the holidays. So is the Christmas event that puts you face to face with deadly gingerbread men, frustrated snowmen, and Santa Claus who’s clearly tired of his annual round of chimneys. And if all goes well, after a few rounds, the environment will look like someone is pouring wine generously. Cheers!
GTA Online (Al Ain)
ho hoes everywhere. Yes, you may come across it sometimes if you dare to play GTA Online during the Christmas period. Let this be the game that has been an indispensable part of Alain’s Christmas traditions for years. The streets of San Andreas are snow-white, rocket launchers are full of fireworks and players shamelessly dress up in the craziest Christmas outfits. Add some Christmas sounds to that atmosphere and you’re done. In addition, you should be more careful with your virtual car, because snow has an effective effect on driving cars in GTA Online. It may seem strange to breathe in the spirit of Christmas in GTA – a game where you usually breathe in other things – but Alain is one of a kind.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Thibault)
Combine the superpowers of Spider-Man with the magic of the Christmas season and you have a winning combination that will make your Spideysense very happy. However, the relationship between Spider-Man and the Christmas season has never been “in your face,” but it sure is. However, nowhere is the magic of Christmas better than when you’re swinging around the snowy streets of Manhattan as Miles Morales in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The game also recently appeared on PC, so now everyone can experience the magic of Christmas.
Lego Harry Potter (Joachim)
Christmas is Harry Potter and Harry Potter is Christmas. Initially Hogwarts Legacy It should always be on this list, but since the release date was pushed back to February 10, 2023, Joachim had to reconsider his choice. But don’t worry, because the Christmas period also means camaraderie. And make LEGO Harry Potter just one of the perfect co-op couch games to play with your loved one, boyfriend, girlfriend or family member. Wander the halls of Hogwarts or throw snowballs in Hogsmeade: the Christmas spirit is never far away as you seek the warmth of your couch with this self-knit pullover. Wingardium Levi-HOHO-sa!
Mafia II (Peter Jan)
If Peter-Jan had to pick a game that exudes winter vibes, it would have to be Mafia 2. Empire Bay, a fictional metropolis openly inspired by both New York City and Chicago, is covered for the first half of the game under a white layer of snow. This enhances the cold and gloomy atmosphere of this gangster game. Especially the ‘Murphy’s Law’ mission, where a robbery goes completely wrong and you escape from the police through a roof, perfectly reflects the influence of the wintry weather. The roof is slippery and your partner fears for his life just slipping on the edge. However, he is not alone. Pedestrians in the streets of Empire Bay also slip on icy sidewalks and driving also requires your full attention not to slip on the slippery road surface. Once you hear “Let It Snow” over your car radio, the tune is completely set.
Dragon Quest Treasures
Is there a better time for a relaxing game than the Christmas season? I don’t believe in that. The game Aaike will play among croquet galore and Christmas stumps and will instantly recommend is Dragon Quest Treasures. A light spin-off of the recently released RPG series about the small treasure hunts of Erik and Mia. There are no unknown characters that Dragon Quest 11 has already played. Let it freeze and snow outside: Grabbing her Nintendo Switch without hesitation, Aaike hides under a fleece blanket and happily loses herself for hours in a world of dragons and slime.
Shredder (Ruby)
Christmas to me Robbie equals snow, and an old tradition since he was young and used to go skiing every year with his parents. The last time was now 8 or 9 years ago, and he misses the feeling of snow breaking up and sliding under the weight of his skis. That’s why Robby chooses Shredders, a local game that lets you do your thing on the slopes. Of course he can’t perform those amazing tricks in real life, but I’m glad to have this digital bonus. Shredders have also been available for PS5 since December 6th and you can still test them out via Xbox Game Pass. Then you will at least experience a white Christmas on screen!
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (Timon)
Cold winter times always remind Timon of chocolate milk, snow and… giant monsters?? This line of thinking mainly came to Timon with his Monster Hunter World expansion called Icebourne. If the name hasn’t been revealed already, this DLC takes players into a world completely filled with snow. With so many new monsters and new variants, Timon still hasn’t done everything in the game. From time to time he returns to the snowy landscape to complete the “slaughter” list. The list we hope never ends with Santa Claus.
