Developer Oddworld Inhabitants has announced that Oddworld: Soulstorm is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X | No release date has been set yet, but new content is also coming to Soulstorm.
Oddworld: Soulstorm is a remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus from 1998. It follows Abe’s protagonist, Mudokon, as he rescues fellow racers from Glukkons and uses them to exploit at work. The game is a 2.5D side console that allows Abby to get supplies, craft weapons, arm other Mudokons and solve puzzles.
There are 1,000 programmers to find and join him in the resistance. The number of Mudokons you memorize affects the type of ending you get. There are a total of 17 levels in the game, 15 of which are available without restrictions. To get a “good” score at any given level, you need to memorize at least 80% of your Mudokons in it. Doing this for up to six levels will give the game the worst possible ending.
If you get a “good” score from 7 to 11, you get a “poor” score. Doing the same for 12 levels guarantees a “good” ending and unlocks levels 16 and 17. Keeping 80% of the modocoons in all 17 levels gives you an extra ending.
Oddworld: Soulstorm first launched on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on April 6 this year. The PC version is currently exclusive to the Epic Games Store, and the PS5 version was offered as a free game to PlayStation Plus subscribers in April when it was released.
