During State of Play last Thursday night, Sony revealed five upcoming games for the PlayStation VR2.

First of all, there’s the roguelike first-person shooter The Foglans, which should be released in 2023 on PlayStation VR2, Quest 2, and Steam. Players take on the role of a runner, who must run, jump, and fight his way through the fog for their underground communities.

Also announced is Journey to Foundation, a game based on writer Isaac Asimov’s Foundation stories. Coming to PlayStation VR2, Quest 2 and Pico 4 this fall, the game sees players travel as spy Agent Ward to the ends of the Galactic Empire to infiltrate a group of fugitives and uncover a shocking truth.

Green Hell VR is a survival game that came out on Quest and PC last year, and should also appear on PlayStation VR2 this year. Players must survive alone in the Amazon jungle. Hunger must be satisfied and the body taken care of, but mental health is also important.

nDreams, developers of Phantom: Covert Ops and Fracked, have revealed the first-person shooter Synapse, due out this year on PlayStation VR2. According to the makers, Synapse is the result of more than a decade of focus on VR. Players can dual wield weapons and use telekinesis in this game that is being developed exclusively for the new Sony headset. The drawing style in particular stands out at the beginning.

PlayStation VR2 is now available and costs six hundred euros. The bundle includes the headset, Sense controllers, and headphones for stereo sound. A charging station for the consoles will also be released on the same day, priced at €49.99.

It’s a superbly designed device with the best technology VR has to offer at the moment. The internal tracking works flawlessly and makes it possible Play all kinds of VR games, from sit-down to full room scale.
