Xbox announced a partnership with its cloud gaming service Boosteroid

Microsoft is taking another step in its vision to bring Xbox gaming to as many platforms as possible and announcing a new partnership with cloud gaming provider Boosteroid.

Microsoft and Boosteroid announce a 10-year partnership to bring Xbox PC games to Boosteroid. Microsoft also confirms that the agreement will ensure that Activision Blizzard PC games will come to Boosteroid when (if?) the acquisition closes. So it appears that the collaboration also marks a new step in the much-discussed acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

In the press release Microsoft assures that popular franchises like Call of Duty will reach over 150 million additional players this way (and thanks to previously announced partnerships).

We believe in the power of games to bring people together. That’s why Xbox wants to give everyone as many ways as possible to play their favorite games on different devices. Bringing Xbox PC games to Boosteroid, including Activision Blizzard titles like Call of Duty when the deal closes, is another step in realizing this vision.
