To calculate solar panel throughput, most simulators use a standard conversion factor of 0.89. This means that the performance of solar panels in 2022 was much better than the theoretically estimated return.

So analogue counter owners have moved back in a big way in the past year. Digital meter owners, in turn, can consume a larger share of the energy themselves or sell more energy to energy suppliers.

Additionally, supplier wages for the electricity generated were much higher last year than they were in 2021. These variable injection rates were particularly high during the summer.
