televisionVTM’s legendary comedy series ‘Verschoten & Zoon’ returns to the small screen for the first time since its finale in 2007 with weekly reruns. Joyce de Troche (48) played Babs, first secretary to Rene Verchoten, played by Jacques Vermeer. “I kind of regret getting out of the series myself.”

“Glad that this series from My Second Garage is getting the repeat it deserves, for the first time after all these years,” Jacques Vermeer said on Instagram. Starting June 3, VTM will broadcast the eight seasons of Verschoten & Zoon again. The story of the miserly garage owner Verschoten, played by Jacques Vermeire, his wife and shopaholic Magda, played by Martine Jonckheere, captivated many viewers from 1999 to 2007. David Michaels, Anne Hendrix, Aaron Wade and Joyce de Troche also starred in the popular series, with Joyce as Babs’ sexy secretary. “I had no acting experience whatsoever, but it seemed like they were looking for a Joyce type,” says Joyce. “During the auditions for the role of Babs, my predecessors had to ‘act like Joyce de Troche’. But in the end they themselves invited me to play the part. And so many years later, I’m still hot behind my desk, you know.” (He laughs)

Within So, contact with my colleagues has faded away, but I will certainly see Jacques Vermeer’s theatrical tour.”

Joyce de Troche still aspires to be an actress. “Acting is the sweetest thing I’ve ever done. They can always call me up for a new role. The comedy is with the best. I was recently seen in Streamz’s new series ‘Under the skin’ but that was a small clip. Unfortunately my scene in a movie came to a halt” Zillion”. I participated in a documentary about Frank Verstraeten that will be broadcast soon. While the film does not completely correspond to reality, the documentary brings the truth 100%.
