The Outcasts: Ghosts of New Eden is a role-playing game developed by DON’T NOD. We know DON’T NOD from games like Life is Strange and Tell Me Why, both of which are story-driven games. With Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, the developers are conquering a genre in which they still have relatively little experience, but who knows what creative excesses it can lead to!

In terms of storytelling, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden sounds interesting anyway: ‘In the haunted wilds of North America, you enter the lives of the communities of New Eden to illuminate a world plagued by supernatural creatures and ancient secrets. As a player, you combine Antea’s spiritual powers with Red’s arsenal to defeat and banish ghosts. You play as Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith, lovers and Banishers (ghost hunters) who are sworn to protect the living from the menacing ghosts that haunt them. Tragically becoming one of the ghosts she despises, Anti embarks on a desperate search for a way to free her from her newfound destiny. In the trailer above, we get a good first impression.
