MS Flight Simulator 2024 adds missions

During the Xbox Expo last Sunday, we saw the beautiful graphics of MS Flight Simulator. At first we thought about the DLC, but it turns out … there will be a completely new part and this time with missions!

The biggest reason I didn’t get MS Flight Simulator myself at the time was because I had nothing to do there. I will not fly aimlessly or cross landmarks just because I can. I need something, a drive, a mission. Fortunately, my prayers have been answered with the arrival of MS Flight Simulator 2024, because I get exactly what I want and with many others.

In the last part of MS Flight Sim 2024 you can do different things. You have missions where you have to rescue people in the shock helicopter. You can also help build power poles on the mountain or put out fires. I don’t expect the new missions to be very elaborate with a well-thought-out point system or career mode, but they do ensure that you have a goal to fly in the beautiful world they have created.

In addition to the nice trailer, we actually have very little information and this is also where the current MS Flight Sim falters. A new part has been announced, but what if you invest a lot of time in MS Flight Simulator 2020? Will 2020 still be supported after the 2024 release? Will all additions carry over from 2020 to 2024 in terms of cities? Will the community be divided into two parts after the release of MS Flight Simulator 2024? After the trailer, there are clearly more questions than answers.

In the desert

We were already impressed with the first trailer, but then something else was shown and it was more like a fantasy vehicle. That was right, because it’s an expansion of the existing MS Flight Simulator in the world of Dune. You see the plane they use also in the movies. The expansion will be released at the same time as the movie, but it’s unclear where exactly you can fly. Will you get x number of square kilometers of desert with this one plane, or will we get more? We may hear more about this later.
