The Samsung event where the brand’s new foldable phones are expected isn’t until the end of July, but the designs of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 have already been leaked.
the site MySmartPrice It claims to have secured official renders of Samsung’s foldable phones. The image of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 shows a larger screen on the outside with a notch housing two cameras. As a result, the screen has taken the form of a folder.
The image also shows a large music widget on the cover screen. This would be an example of apps optimized for the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s external display that Samsung is working with Google on. The new competitor Motorola Razr 40 Ultra also has a larger 3.6-inch external screen. The cover of the current Flip 4 is only 1.9 inches wide.
The Flip 5 is said to use a redesigned hinge mechanism that leaves no gap when the device is folded. The fold in the screen will also be less noticeable. The Flip 5 is said to have dual cameras with a 12MP main camera and has an IP57 dust and water resistance rating.
Galaxy Z Fold 5
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 image shows, among other things, a smaller hole for the camera and more refined edges. The hinge design has also been improved to make the device thinner.
The Fold 5 will have a 7.6-inch QHD+ display on the inside and a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display on the outside. Both of Samsung’s new foldable phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip that’s also found in the Galaxy S23.
