Christian Benteke is allowed to take the field with the MLS All-Stars next month in a match against English superpower Arsenal. The Belgian forward is part of a select group of 26 players from the American soccer competition.
On July 19, MLS All-Stars Leandro Trossard will play Arsenal in Washington. Players from the North American League are selected by the fans, All-Star Coach Wayne Rooney and MLS President Don Garber.
Christian Benteke made the selection through the intercession of former striker Wayne Rooney, his coach at D.C. United.
The 32-year-old forward has been playing in the United States since last year. This season he has 8 goals in 19 matches.
