Jonatan Medart offers sentimental appeal: “Stop taking pictures of me like that” | BV

Jonatan Medart from Ghent suddenly became known in the middle of the Corona pandemic for his funny content on social media. After TV projects like “Dancing with the Stars” and “Worst Rated Show,” Medart is recognized daily on the streets and at festivals. On the one hand, it all sounds great, but in his latest video he speaks to his followers in a very honest way: “I look pathetic, but I really want to be honest,” it seems.

Medart talks about the festival’s busy summer and the impact of all his projects on his relationships with friends and Sibby, Sweet. The two were together for about seven months, but he kept this relationship a secret from the press. “Another drawback to fame,” says the video. He also deplores people who secretly take pictures of him while he’s easily accessible: “I’m not a monkey in a cage, but some people make me feel that way.”

Midart is also straightforward about his friends: due to his busy schedule, he increasingly feels like he is losing his friends. He often sees them at festivals, but very fleetingly. “I am already one quality timeHuman and I want to see my friends face to face, not too fast in the festival. I feel like some friends don’t invite me to parties and events anymore, simply because I can’t. And it hurts.”

And the video concludes with “Yes, there is a downside to being an influencer,” which is a sage lesson for everyone who believes that the life of an influencer is always roses.
