musicGood news for music fans who heard “Give It to Me” some sixteen years ago. was on repeat. The trio of Justin Timberlake (42), Timbaland (51), and Nelly Furtado (44) are back in the studio after years and will soon be reuniting with a new song.
“we, re back!” Timbaland wrote in an Instagram post announcing the collaboration. “Da King has returned!” The teaser begins with the text: “It’s about time,” and then turns into part of an old performance. Short video clips and headlines show the evolution of Timbaland’s career and collaborations with both Furtado and Timberlake on screen, eventually giving way to the song’s official release date: September 1. The title of the song has not been revealed yet.
The as-yet-untitled record will be part of Timbaland’s upcoming album. It’s been a long time since the producer released his business, because his latest album “Shock Value II” It dates back to 2009. Timbaland’s announcement comes about a month after Instagram posts showed him and Timberlake having a video call with Furtado while the two were working on Timberlake’s upcoming sixth studio album. He captioned the post, “Dream Team.”
All three artists released singles this year. In March, Timbaland collaborated with rapper BIA on the single “I’m That Bitch”.. In June, Furtado released her first single as a lead artist in five years with the special, “Eat Your Man”.. The following month, Timberlake was featured on “ICU”, a remix of Coco Jones.
