Seed companies De Groot en Slot and Bejo start the new onion season 2023-2024 with an improved onion seed preparation. With the new B-Mox prep technology, your onions should benefit from a quick start and uniform growth.
For onion seeds, it is important that the young plants get a head start. According to the seed companies, seedlings get stronger with B-Mox. New technology stimulates growth at an early stage. This should result in a more vigorous crop. Onions will also show increased stress tolerance throughout the growth period due to a more developed root system.
Bejo introduced B-Mox technology for carrots in 2017. Subsequently, it turned out that the carrots develop stronger and more uniformly and also give a better yield. In addition to carrots and onions, Peugeot also sees potential for B-Mox technology to be used on other crops in the long term.
De Groot en Slot now applies B-Mox technology as standard to all prepared onion seeds. Since this technology is Skal certified, it is also suitable for growing organic onions. Bejo and De Groot en Slot experimented with B-Mox for more than five years, mainly in Western Europe, before introducing it into onion seeds.
