Carl Gustav’s Anniversary Party: These royals are invited

King Carl Gustaf of Sweden will celebrate a special event on September 15, 2023. On that day, the king has been on the Swedish throne for exactly 50 years. This makes Carl Gustaf the country’s longest-reigning monarch. Reason enough to celebrate this in style with a banquet, and these royals are on the guest list. Hijab tip: It will be a real family reunion.

The special anniversary of the 77-year-old king is being widely celebrated in the Scandinavian country. Special working visits have been organized throughout the month. The celebrations will conclude on Friday, September 15, with a grand banquet, to which royal guests have also been invited. On that date, Carl Gustaf officially became king in 1973. This was immediately after the death of his grandfather, King Gustav Adolf. After all, Carl Gustav’s father died in a plane crash in 1947, when Carl Gustav was only eight months old.

Queen Anne Marie of Greece

As you know, Queen Anne-Marie of Greece is the sister of Queen Margaret of Denmark. This also makes Anne Marie the niece of Swedish King Carl Gustaf. Although Greece is no longer officially a monarchy and Anne-Marie now spends her time elsewhere, she still has a close relationship with her cousin.

She also has a close relationship with other Scandinavian royals. King Harald of Norway is her second cousin. So it makes sense that she received an invitation to the banquet.
