Bouk Pieterse (21 years old) won the Mountain Bike World Cup. Sixth place in the penultimate round was enough for Dutch rider Alpecin-Deceuninck.
Puck Pieterse is having a great mountain bike season. After winning several World Cup rounds, a European title and two World Cup medals, Zeina put the cake on the cake with her final World Cup victory.
Pieterse finished sixth at the US ski resort Snowshoe, the venue of the penultimate round of the World Cup.
“Wonderful,” the Dutch woman replied. “The whole race was the order in my mind. I’m very happy that I succeeded.”
Next weekend, Pieterse will contest the final round in Canada, where the Dutch could also win the World Cup short track. Then she got her cross bike out of the garage.
Austrian racer Laura Stigger (Specialized) won the race in the United States.

Saru overtakes Shorter in the final corner
Among the men, defending champion Nino Schurter (Scott) is on track for a ninth overall World Cup win.
The 37-year-old Swiss finished second in Snowshoe. At the final corner he had to surrender to the lively Frenchman and BMC rider Jordan Saro.
World Champion Tom Pidcock (Ineos) crossed the finish line in fifth place. In the middle of the race he appeared to be the dominant factor, but as he attempted to open the race, the Briton suffered two punctures in a short time.
Jens Schuermans (Giant) became the 19th Belgian and the first. Belgian champion Pierre de Vroumont finished 43rd.
The Mountain Bike World Cup finishes next weekend in Mont-Sainte-Anne in Canada.
