Hecht GGD Hollands Midden has opened a temporary vaccination site in the town hall at Leidseweg 25 in Voorschoten. You can get your COVID-19 vaccine here without an appointment on Friday, November 17, December 1, and December 8 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

“The pop-up coronavirus injection sites are mainly for people for whom it is difficult to reach our usual injection sites,” says Margarete Beckdam, vaccination manager at Hecht GGD Hollands Midden. “You can’t schedule an injection at a pop-up. This round of vaccination is for people most at risk of serious illness from COVID-19: people over 60, adults offered the flu vaccine, children and adults at high medical risk and pregnant women. Health care workers can also get the shot to protect the vulnerable people they care for. This also applies to people who have a vulnerable family member. The vaccination round will continue until the end of 2023. The Corona vaccine will remain available to pregnant women and people with high medical risks. The vaccine used for injection has been adapted to the type of virus currently circulating widely.

With or without invitation

Only people over 60 years of age will receive an invitation letter. This will be done in parts, so there are still invitations on the way. Some people receive an invitation that already contains the appointment date, time and location. Other groups eligible for this round of vaccination will not receive an invitation.
