Will there be a big move to Inter for Tajon Buchan (24) after a delay of a few months? According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A leaders want to do their best for the Canadian winger from Club Brugge once again.
At the end of last season, Buchanan looked like he was on his way to Inter. The Canadian and the Blue Black then reached a verbal agreement with Inter on a transfer deal worth around €15 million. Buchanan was supposed to replace Denzel Dumfries, who was wanted in Milan, but the Dutchman, contrary to expectations, did not leave for the English Premier League. Inter chose the cheapest option and signed Colombian Juan Cuadrado from Juventus on a free transfer.
But Cuadrado suffers from illnesses, and at the age of thirty-five, he is no longer the youngest. Because interest in Dumfries is likely to pick up again soon, Inter have restored contact with Buchanan and his entourage in recent weeks, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italians did not clarify whether this would be a January or summer transfer.
Buchanan relegated Jan Bridle from MLS in early 2022. Although he never showed his full potential for the Blue and Black and scored just 5 goals in 64 appearances, he still sparked interest from a top European club. Let’s wait and see if it transfers this time.
