There are also Flemish people stuck in the opposite direction in London. “We have now rebooked our train for tomorrow,” Margo Vandecandeleer tells VTM News from the British capital. Margot was supposed to stay in London with her mother and sister for three days, but they are now staying an extra night. “Hopefully we'll be home in time for New Year's.”

It is not yet known when all trains will start running again. The fire brigade is trying to pump out the water. Just before 12pm, it was announced in Brussels South that trains would not be able to run until 5pm at the earliest. But that is not certain at all.
