CTP has leased 40,000 square meters of space in the Czech Republic to Vitesco Technologies to set up an electric vehicle parts factory. The logistics real estate manager made the announcement on Monday.
This relates to a ten-year lease for space at CTPark Ostrava Hrušov. Vitesco is an existing customer who has been using a high-tech research center at nearby CTPark Ostrava for the past 10 years.
The company rents warehouses with an area of 36,100 square meters, an office area of 1,500 square meters, and 2,300 square meters for sanitation. Vitesco is building a new production plant here with a fully automated logistics center worth €190 million. CTP adapted the space to the requirements of a controlled production environment in a laboratory space.
The new factory will manufacture parts for the next generation of electric vehicles with a high level of robotics and process automation. The factory is scheduled to begin operating at the end of this year, and employs 150 employees, with the aim of growing to 1,000 employees by 2027.
The new CTPark Ostrave Hrušov includes 92,000 square meters of industrial and logistics space fully leased to tenants including Prosperplast, Hyundai Steel and LogFlex.
