A book that sets foreign business in motion

A book that sets foreign business in motion

How do you approach companies in Dutch Limburg and vice versa: How are we in Belgian Limburg open to generating business with Dutch people who introduce themselves here? Armand Vliegen, a Belgian-Dutch with over 45 years of experience in the “borderless networking” field, knows the answer to this question:

“The networks in both Limburgs are not the same, far from it,” says Armand Vliegen. “There are tremendous opportunities to do business with neighbors across borders, but you have to know how to do it. Despite the proximity, cultural differences make it necessary to take each person's privacy into account. And you can learn that…”

Vliegen has compiled all the tips and tricks he's collected over the past 45 years into a booklet. “It's full of tidbits, tips and tricks about networking without borders,” he says. “A fun and useful tool for anyone who can and wants to improve in the physical area, i.e. face to face, and communication.” (You can order via email: [email protected])

But that's not all: Vliegen also prepared a talk show, where 8 enterprising guests from both Limburg and Limburg discussed communication. Under the inspiring leadership of Virginie Claeys, all sorts of advice was dished out in front of a live audience in a packed TV studio. Christoph Schippers (Hands), Wouter Vanlei (Foka Limburg), Xavier Kortenreidt (Chapo Magazine), Hope Narenx (LWV) or Kurt Merz (Made in Limburg), among others, are joined at the table.
