The Red Devils return to the top three in the FIFA rankings

The Red Devils won a place in the FIFA World Rankings: they jumped above England from fourth to third. At the top, world champion Argentina remains in the lead, while vice-world champion France occupies second place.

Coach Domenico Tedesco's forces played twice in friendly matches since the publication of the previous FIFA classification on February 15 and the end of March. After a lackluster draw in Dublin against Ireland (0-0), a more upbeat performance followed at Wembley against England (2-2).

Of all places, England lost their place in the top three to Belgium and dropped to fourth. Brazil remains in fifth place and there are hardly any changes in the rest of the top ten.

Only Portugal (sixth) surpassed the Netherlands (seventh). They are followed by Spain (8th), Italy (9th) and Croatia (10th).

Tedesco & Company. The team is currently reaching the final stage of the European Championship, which begins in Germany in mid-June. The Red Devils will face Slovakia (FIFA 48), Romania (FIFA 46; -1) and Ukraine (FIFA 22; +2) in the group stage.

The Red Devils were ranked first in the FIFA rankings from September 2018 to March 2022. Belgium were also previously ranked first between November 2015 and March 2016. The Belgians have also been crowned Team of the Year five times in the past (2015, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021).
