Galaxy artificial intelligence[1], which was initially only available on the Galaxy S24, is now also available on the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series via the One UI 6.1 update. After the success of the first version of the update in March, Samsung is now announcing the second launch phase. One UI 6.1 will also be available on the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, and Galaxy Tab S8 series starting in May. This makes mobile AI accessible to a wider audience.
Since its release in March, 8.8 million users have downloaded and used the update. This number is growing every day and Samsung aims to give more than 100 million users access to Galaxy AI by the end of 2024.
The most commonly used AI functions since launch include: Live translation, Direct copying, Chat help And Circle to search with Google[2].
The One UI 6.1 update was downloaded by approximately 75% of European Galaxy Z Fold5 users, 80% of S23 Ultra users and approximately 65% of Tab S9 users, making it one of Samsung’s most popular software updates ever.
