Activities
Gorinchem At the residential care center in Bannehof, there will be another Parkinson Café for Gorinchem and the surrounding area on Tuesday 21 May. The Parkinson’s Café is an accessible meeting place for people with Parkinson’s disease, their partners, family members, informal carers and interested parties.
One topic is discussed at a time in a relaxed atmosphere. In addition to exchanging information and experiences, the Parkinson’s Café can also be used to communicate with other patients. The theme of the evening is The Ronnie Gardiner Method. (RGM) This is a structured, multi-sensory exercise method for the brain, where the rhythm of music is used to stimulate movement, speech and perception (concentration, memory, coordination). The speaker is Jennifer Van Dalen. She is a physical therapist.
This time the café will be held again at Woonzorgcentrum Bannehof, Voermanstraat 169 in Gorinchem. Start: 7:30 pm. Free access. You can register via [email protected], or by phone: 06-57288893 (Ene de Ruyter, occupational therapist at Mijzo, available from Monday to Thursday).
