Just like Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will have a black and white version. Director George Miller confirms this on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast. According to the director, the release will be called The Tinted Black and Chrome Edition.
in Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga Anya Taylor-Joy plays Furiosa, a young woman who is kidnapped by the deranged gang leader Dementus. Furiosa seeks revenge on the man who killed her mother and is also searching for her way back home.
Black and chrome
Mad Max: Fury Road It was a big visual spectacle in 2015 filled with crazy action scenes and beautiful visuals. In 2017, George Miller released Black and Chrome, a black-and-white version of the film that further highlighted the gorgeous images.
Miller confirms that he actually finished the black-and-white version of Furiosa: “We’ve already done this version. It’s the last thing we did for the movie. I want to call this version ‘The Tinted Black and Chrome Edition,'” Miller says on the podcast.
Black and white are more dramatic
“I don’t know why, but to me the black and white versions look more impressive. It’s not that this version reminds me more of old black and white films, it’s something different. If I were to take a photo of us now, it would look more dramatic in black and white, Miller said.
Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga Now showing in cinemas. It is not yet known when the Tinted Black and Chrome Edition will be released.
