Beerschot will play in the Jupiler Pro League again next season. Although there is still a lot of work to be done.
Dirk Kuyt opened Beerschot’s new season on Monday, although he had to do so in his first training session with just 16 players, two of whom were promising.
However, the Dutchman said he does not panic, because people are coming. This turned out to be true. According to Gazete Van Antwerp, a new defender and manager will arrive.
After several contract extensions, there is now the first new entrant. It’s about 24-year-old Brian Platt, who comes on a free transfer from FC Volendam. The central defender was an honorary Eredivisie player this year.
He will sign a multi-season contract in the coming days and was already present at Beerschot’s training complex on Monday.
A successor to György Sziprigi as technical director is also in the pipeline. This would be Benjamin Ehresmann, who has already worked in Leipzig, New York, Philadelphia, Den Bosch and KV Ostend. He also already lives in the country.
