Gastricum – Michael Voss will be interviewed by Corian Hildenbrand on Friday June 28 at 8 p.m. The conversation was about his book ‘Fox in the US’. Entry is 5 euros and the book tasting is open.
Michiel Vos (Groningen, 1970) is an American lawyer, journalist and reporter. He holds Dutch and American citizenship as he is married to Nancy Pelosi’s daughter, Alexandra Pelosi. Voss was originally a lawyer, but decided to change course and become a journalist. In 2000 he worked with Max Westermann during the United States presidential election. During his twenty years in America, Voss transformed from a naïve immigrant with romantic ideas about his new country to a mirror-holding citizen of his adopted homeland.
In an attempt to demystify his ‘New World’, Michael takes us into the ‘American way of life’ (or what remains of it) and opens the doors to the American establishment; He meets presidents, pop idols, Hollywood stars and ordinary, often angry Americans. He describes 21st century America using witty and humorous anecdotes. (Photo: Provided)
