“The OnePlus Pad 2 will be the fastest Android tablet yet”

OnePlus will not only launch the Nord 4 smartphone on July 16, but it will also launch a new tablet. Almost all the specifications of the OnePlus Pad 2 are now available on the street. It looks like it is the fastest Android tablet yet.

OnePlus Pad 2 specs known

The OnePlus Pad is a tablet with an excellent price/quality ratio. It has a beautiful display and a fast processor. However, OnePlus seems to be taking it a step further with its successor. According to the delicious Ishan Agrawal The OnePlus Pad 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It’s the fastest processor out there right now. It will be the first tablet to run on this chip. You can choose from variants with 8 or 12GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage.

These specs make the OnePlus Pad 2 well-suited for gaming and more demanding tasks like photo editing. The display grows from 11.6 to 12.1 inches and has a resolution of 3000 x 2120 pixels. The refresh rate is again 144Hz for super smooth visuals.

The maximum brightness is 900 nits. That was 500 nits with the first OnePlus panel. The only downside is that it’s an LCD display. The main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus, has a nicer OLED display.

The OnePlus Pad 2 will probably be identical to the OnePlus Pad Pro that the manufacturer recently launched in China. So we can count on six speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a 9510 mAh battery. It charges nicely and quickly with a maximum of 67W. That was also possible with its predecessor.

On the back we find a 13-megapixel lens, while the front camera is 8-megapixel. From the information on the OnePlus website, we can conclude that the company will also release a new stylus and a new keyboard for the Pad 2.

The cost of the tablet is not yet known. The suggested retail price of the first OnePlus Pad was €499 and you can now buy it for €349. Its successor will likely be slightly more expensive due to the faster processor.

Launching on July 16th

OnePlus itself confirms that the new tablet will see the light of day on July 16. A special event will take place in Milan that day at 3:00 p.m. Dutch time. We will also see the OnePlus Nord 4 there. This is a new mid-range smartphone with a 6.74-inch OLED display and a fast Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 processor. Unlike previous Nord devices, the casing will be made of metal. The large 5,500 mAh battery can be charged at no less than 100 watts, so it will fill up in no time.

That’s not all, as OnePlus is also launching the Buds 3 Pro earbuds and a new smartwatch: the OnePlus Watch 2R. This is a cheaper version of the OnePlus Watch 2, which was released earlier this year.
