Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods has raised its milk price for August almost as much as its industry peers. Nijkerk currently has the highest base milk price in the Netherlands and the highest milk price so far in Belgium.

In the Netherlands, the price of milk will increase by €1.34 per 100 kilos to €48.70 per 100 kilos. This is around €0.30 more than the basic milk price at FrieslandCampina. The maximum amount you can receive (including all premiums and surcharges) is €50.80 per 100 kilos.

This is for an annual supply of 1 million kilos, excluding VAT and after deducting the ZuivelNL contribution. With a higher fat and protein content, the price of milk is of course higher, as can be calculated with the Boerenbusiness milk price comparison tool.

The price of organic milk remains the same at €57.30 per 100 kilos. The price of Belgian milk will increase by €1.29 to €48.32 per 100 litres. This is also the highest price for milk set so far for August. See also the comparison of Belgian milk prices from Boerenbusiness. Vreugdenhil will be included in this soon.

The company started collecting milk in Belgium in April, and still has a relatively limited number of suppliers there. The company wants to make further changes to this in the near future, so it is offered on the market at a competitive milk price.
