Mark ‘Agent Gibbs’ Harmon leaves ‘NCIS’ after 19 seasons | TV

TVAgent Gibbs said goodbye to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. His translator on the police series “NCIS”, Mark Harmon, shot it a day after nineteen seasons.

In an episode of the hit series that aired in the United States on Monday, it was revealed that Gibbs will not be returning to his colleagues at the government agency “NCIS” that serves as an investigator within the US Navy. After the broadcast, CBS confirmed that the episode was the last with Harmon who had been seen since the start of the series and had also been a producer since 2008.

Show host Stephen de Bender told TV Line on Monday that he would continue to hold the position. “As executive producer and friend, Mark remains an integral part of the foundation of this show,” said the anchor who gave some hope to bereaved audiences. “Our goal has always been to be honest with the characters, that’s how we tell our stories and how we control what happens to our characters. As for Gibbs’ future. Our loyal fans over the years will note that you can never refuse to tell Jethro Gibbs.”

His role on NCIS Harmon earned him some nice pocket money. In recent years, he has been regularly in the lists of the highest-paid television actors. The 70-year-old reportedly made around $525,000 per episode, which has fallen to an average of $12.6 million (just under €11 million) per season.
