Anyone wishing to travel to the United States from November 8 must be fully vaccinated and be able to submit for a negative corona test. The White House made the announcement on Monday. U.S. citizens, permanent residents and minors are excluded from the vaccine requirement. However, for them the corona test should be negative.
Passengers from countries with a vaccination rate of less than ten percent are exempt from the restrictions, but must obtain permission from U.S. authorities before flying to the United States. Tourists from these countries are therefore not allowed to travel; Permission is granted only in exceptional circumstances, for example a trip for humanitarian reasons.
It is already known that the US will adjust its strict travel restrictions in November, but the exact date is not yet clear. U.S. borders have been closed for more than 19 months for all essential travel by non-U.S. citizens and non-permanent residents.
