Premier LeagueChelsea only drew 1-1 at Brighton & Hove Albion. Romelu Lukaku was in the 80th minute for the Blues striker, but the Red Devils had a frustrating evening. They failed to score, and did not deliver a convincing performance. Leandro Trossard came out sharply in Brighton.
The Brighton game was a carbon copy of the many Chelsea games we’ve seen this season. Very slow and unimaginative. Up front, Lukaku barely saw a ball before the break. And also he who did not come from Ziyech. Eight ball keys were on the table, including a foul from Hudson-Odoi. Chelsea’s one and only chance in the first half. Ziyech kicked his team into the lead out of nowhere. Celebrate without a smile. He is not a happy rabbit.
In the eighty minutes that Lukaku spent on the field, he was placed once. Good long ball, good running motion, but the angle to deduce was very sharp. Brighton goalkeeper kicked Sanchez. An opportunity, not a goal. Even against the little plow, life is a crumb. After touching sixteen balls, Tuchel knocked Lukaku off the field.
Brighton-Chelsea eventually ended in a draw after a Webster header. Like half of the Seagulls-Brighton games, they have already scored 11 draws. Leandro Trossard entered the home side after the break and provided some additional momentum.
In the end, Chelsea only scored three balls between the lists. Too little for a team of these qualities.
And what about this main player?
Chelsea only gets 3 out of 12.
