Paul Onuachu remains a tough dossier for Racing Genk. The Limburgers would like to take back the Nigerian striker, but the asking price isn’t low.
Racing Genk will now come up with a solution, and it’s an absolutely amazing solution. Because according to Sasha Tavoleri, Genk are negotiating with Southampton over the exchange of Paintsil and Onuachu.
Paul Onuachu himself would like to return to Genk anyway. The Nigerian striker made a move to relegated Southampton for €18m at the end of the previous winter transfer window.
Director Dimitri De Conde indicated earlier that bringing in a striker is a priority, but Onuachu’s file is no easy feat. “Paul is a player we follow, but he’s not the only player. We shouldn’t be naive about this. It’s not an easy file but it’s very expensive. So we as a club have to see that we’re making the right decision with that.”
