Accelerator of the first growth in the United States for Dutch start-ups

The Netherlands is launching its own program for start-ups that want to grow strongly in the United States. Called the ScaleNL Accelerator, the processor will prepare a 12-week training program for up to 60 companies to succeed in the US market over the next three years.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy provides EUR 500,000 for this purpose. Will also contribute financially to the Invest-NL project. Start-ups can sign up from January 11th.

Thanks to the investment of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, the first group of 10 companies can launch a project aimed at doing business in Silicon Valley in April. This amount may be supplemented with private money to support a total of 60 companies over the next three years.

Companies are selected by American and Dutch businessmen based on their innovative strength, team and potential success in the US market. That market includes Silicon Valley on the west coast and well-known technology centers on the east coast like New York and Boston, but also development cities like Miami, Atlanta and Chicago.

The top ten companies will launch a 12-week program in April 2022, which will include a crash course on “Doing Business in Silicon Valley”. Among other things, the program focuses on business modeling and funding. The first part takes place digitally; The event concludes in San Francisco with a serious component, allowing participants to meet more than 200 ScaleNL mentors and experts in person.
